Methodize is a simple, yet effective online learning platform that empowers students to learn new skills and reach their potential. It offers a self-paced ACT preparation course that provides students in grades 9 to 12 with a comprehensive overview of the most effective strategies and the most relevant content for raising their ACT scores. Students who have used Methodize to study for the ACT have seen an average increase of 3 points!

Methodize is available at no cost to all South Dakota students in grades 9-12. This resource is provided by the South Dakota Department of Education and can be accessed through SDMyLife powered by Xello. Students and educators can simply log into their accounts and access Methodize at any time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can access Methodize through SDMyLife? All South Dakota students grades 9 through 12 and their educators.  
How do students access Methodize? Students access Methodize by logging into their SDMyLife (powered by Xello) account and clicking "Methodize" in the Links & Resources section of their dashboard. 
How do educators access Methodize? Educators access Methodize by logging into their high school level SDMyLife (powered by Xello) account and clicking "Log in" in the Methodize section of their dashboard which is located just below the demo student account login option. 
How much does Methodize cost for SD students? Methodize is free for all SD 9-12 grade students and their educators. It is provided by the South Dakota Department of Education. 
Does Methodize have full-length practice tests? Methodize has 2 full-length practice tests. Students can choose to take individual sections of the full-length test or take all 4 sections consecutively. Students also have the option to retake the tests. 
How can students study with Methodize? Methodize has practice questions, lessons, and quizzes. It has short evaluation test that will predict your overall ACT score, full-length practice tests, a vocabulary builder, and printable review packets. 
How long can students study with Methodize? Students can study with Methodize for an unlimited amount of time. Methodize is equipped with 18 units, 67 lessons, 76 quizzes, 4 evaluation tests, 2 full-length tests, and an unlimited vocabulary builder. Students may redo lessons and retake quizzes and full-length tests. 
How does Methodize support student success in studying for the ACT? When completing quizzes and tests in Methodize, students receive immediate feedback and are able to review their progress and target areas of need. 
Does Methodize really work? By studying with Methodize, students raise their ACT scores on average by 3 points.
