Garretson graduate Adam Halverson took second place in the Electrical Engineering category at the International Science and Engineering Fair in San Jose in June.

It was Halverson's third trip to the contest, and second time winning awards. Halverson built a robot called VSR 2 Talos FG. Talos is the fourth in a series of full-sized, two-legged robots Halverson has created so far. He doesn't plan to create any new robots anytime soon, but will keep working on Talos.

Halverson will begin his college education at South Dakota State University this fall.
