Earning credit the nontraditional way
Want to get a jump on your college career while still in high school? Then consider advanced placement and dual credit options.

You can start by visiting with your counselor and figuring out which options would work for you. But if you can find something that works, you’ll likely discover it could be a wise investment – saving you lots of money later on, because you can already have some college credit when graduating from high school.

South Dakota Virtual School provides great opportunities for AP, dual credit and specialized electives. These opportunities are particularly beneficial for students in smaller school districts, where a wide array of AP and elective courses may not be available.

Visit South Dakota Virtual School for a complete listing of Virtual School courses and to find out which courses can earn you college credit while you’re at it.
