It starts with a Personal Learning Plan
While your future career may seem far off, your Personal Learning Plan will help you get there … on time.
Think of your Personal Learning Plan as your roadmap to success. It's unique to you because it’s based on your future career goals.
Once you think you’ve identified a potential career field, you can fill in your Personal Learning Plan with the high school courses that will help you get there.
You can build your Personal Learning Plan by logging into SDMyLife and clicking on the Portfolio tab. It’s always a good idea to review your Personal Learning Plan often – at least once every year and maybe even once each semester or quarter. Basically, the more you revisit it, the better off you’ll be.
As you grow, explore and continue on throughout your high school career, your interests and goals may shift. But in order to be effective, your Personal Learning Plan should re-evaluated and then revised to reflect those changes.
Once you have your Personal Learning Plan in place, registering for classes each semester will be a breeze, because you’ll already know what classes will best prepare you for your future!
